Avery Elementary Media Center Vision Statement 
The vision of the Avery Elementary Media Center is to provide a warm and welcoming space where students develop an enthusiasm for reading, practice ethical research and information skills, and are encouraged to effectively collaborate through technology to become future ready learners and leaders. 

NEW LOGON PROCESS FROM HOME  
All users need to add @cherokeek12.net to their username in order to log into the Destiny Discover Library Catalog off campus or if prompted on campus.

Media Classes 
Avery’s media center is open for class!  Lessons with checkout are on a 2-week rotation with checkout offered every week.

Digital Citizenship through Common Sense Media 
At Avery we are committed to helping our students learn the habits and skills they need to use technology safely and responsibly in school, at home and beyond. 

Mrs. Dalton and Mrs. Blakey both use resources from Common Sense Education as they teach students in grades K–2 how to develop healthy media habits and online safety. Lessons for grades 3–5 continue to focus on online safety, recognizing cyberbullying, what is and isn’t okay to share online, and how to find credible sources of information.
