CCSD Elementary School Students Advancing to State Science Fair

Twenty-nine Cherokee County School District elementary school students are advancing to the Georgia K-5 Science and Engineering Fair!

CCSD’s top young scientists and engineers recently competed at the district level and the best of the best are headed to the state contest in March at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville.

“Congratulations to our outstanding young scientists and engineers!” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said.  “We wish you great success as you advance to the state fair – and as you continue your STEM studies.  STEM learning is an important way for our students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.  Thank you to all of our STEM teachers and congratulations to our winners’ teacher mentors.”
