CCSD Parent University on Jan. 31 Focused on Cyber Bullying, Social Media
The Cherokee County School District will present its next Parent University program on Tuesday, Jan. 31, with a focus on cyber bullying and social media.
CCSD's Parent University regularly presents free programs for parents on topics of interest to families with school-age children. The Jan. 31 program is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Woodstock City Church (150 Ridgewalk Way, Woodstock 30188). The target audience is parents/guardians and students age 11 and older.
The panel discussion with CCSD administrators, law enforcement officers and behavioral health therapists will discuss the impact of social media and cyberbullying on our students and families. The panelists will speak to the impact of social media and cyber abuse.
Additionally, the audience will preview “Screenagers,” a film that explores the impact of screen time on the teenage brain while offering solutions that will inspire successful social development.
