Maria serves as a custodian. She has 18 years of service with CCSD, including 16 in her current role.
In her principal’s words: “Ms. Maria Vega continuously gives of her time and talent to Avery Elementary. She is a very positive person, and regardless of the duty she’s performing, you can always find her with a smile and a positive word. She takes great pride in all that she does, and Avery is truly the cleanest and most beautiful school because of her dedication. She carries out her job duties with fervor, determination and excellence and has a reputation for dependable and timely work. Ms. Vega brings joy, love, dedication and smiles to the school halls every day!”
